The Sacramento Kings have clinched an NBA playoff spot for the first time since 2006.
Sacramento blew out the Blazers in Portland 120-80 and are now the third seed in the Western Conference with an impressive 46-30 record.
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Kings officially making the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.
The longest running playoff drought of any U.S. major professional sports league team is over. After 16 seasons, the Sacramento Kings have officially clinched a playoff birth.

De'Aaron Fox was drafted by the Kings in 2017 and promised to fight for Sacramento.
He inherited the longest playoff drought in the NBA.
He was involved in trade rumors. Head coaches were fired. Front office was replaced. Players were shuffled.

The Kings and Pacers trade is NOT a win-win. Kings trading Haliburton resulted in a two All-NBA seasons from Fox and Sabonis with a playoff berth. Sacramento won the trade and it’s not close.
