MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — Marco Island police are trying to identify a person who punched a disabled veteran twice over an argument about a parking spot.

On Tuesday, the unidentified person was loitering in the parking lot of the Bargain Basket Thrift Store, located at 750 Bald Eagle Drive.

Officers said the victim, a disabled veteran, drove into the parking lot and parked in a disabled parking space. The victim had a valid Florida Disabled Veteran Tag, officers noted.

As the veteran was getting out of his car and heading into the store, the unidentified person tried to challenge the veteran’s right to parking in the disabled parking space.
