Six hopeful artists will not be continuing their “American Idol” journey after Monday night’s elimination.

After securing a spot in the top 20 after Sunday’s episode, singers faced off Monday night in front of judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and America’s voters to compete for a spot in the top 14.

The top 10 who made it through to the next round were announced first, as voters across the country decided the outcome, automatically sending them through. The remaining 10 left, competed for a spot in the top 14 by leaving their fate up to the judges. The judges only picked four to advance, leaving six unable to move froward in the competition.

Here’s how the results played out.

Contestant Ava Maybee was announced to be safe first, earning a top 14 spot based on votes from viewers. Christian Guardino was also announced to make it through.

Lady K was also marked safe after earning votes from the voters at home, as well as platinum ticket winner, HunterGirl.

Dan Marshall was called up next to the stage, but managed to be safe. He was followed by Leah Marlene, who also advanced to the top 14. Finally contestants, Nicolina, Noah Thompson, Emyrson Flora, and Fritz Hager were also all announced to be top 14 contestants.

The 10 contestants who had to sing it out for their spot in the next round were

  • Cameron Whitcomb - “If It Hadn’t Been For Love” by the Steeldrivers
  • Allegra Miles - performed original song “Tainted”
  • Katyrah - “Through the Fire” by Chaka Khan
  • Cadence Baker - “I’m Your Baby Tonight” by Whitney Houston
  • Sage - Alan Stone’s “Brown Eyed Lover”
  • Jay Copeland - “Believer” by Imagine Dragons
  • Jacob Moran - “Rise” by Katy Perry
  • Elli Rowe - “All I Want” by Kodaline
  • Mike Parker - “Bed on Fire” by Teddy Swims
  • Tristen Gressett - “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz

Out of the 10 left to compete for a spot in the top 14, the judges saved Allegra Miles, Jay Copeland, Mike Parker, and Tristen Gressett. The remaining six were sent home.

Next week will the 14 singers will perform again on April 24 in hopes of making it to the top 11.

“American Idol” airs on Sundays and Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
