SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The IUPUI women's golf team carded a final round 310 at Carolina Country Club and moved up one spot in the standings, finishing tenth of 17 teams at 936 (307-319-310). Sophomore Nerea Lancho finished off a top-10 finish with a final round, 5-over 77 to end her tournament at 226 (77-72-77).

Juniors Annaliese Fox and Madeleine Pape led the Jaguars on the tournament's final day with rounds of 74 and 75, respectively. Fox's round was highlighted by an eagle on the 478 yard, par-5 No. 18. Pape charged hard down the stretch, playing her final 13 holes to even par, including three birdies in her final six holes of the day.

"Today, my main focus was staying patient. Early in the round, my putts weren't falling but I kept focus and eventually later in the round was able to make a few birdies to stabilize my score," Pape said. Overall, I'm happy with my performance today and look forward to competing with the team in the spring."

Lancho was even at the turn after making a pair of birdies to offset a double bogey on her first hole of the day and ultimately closed at 5-over 77. It marked her third top-10 finish of the season and fourth of her collegiate career. She closed the tournament with a team-high nine birdies for the week as the team made 25 total.

Junior Shelby Busker finished at 84 and Kara Blair shot 85 to round out the Jaguars' lineup.

Fox ended the tournament tied for 29th among the 90-player field at 232 (83-75-74) and Pape finished at 236 (77-84-75).

USC Upstate captured the team title at 908, edging second-place South Dakota by three shots and third-place Samford by five strokes. USC Upstate's Praew Nontarux earned medalist honors at 1-over 217 (71-74-72) to win by a single shot.

The tournament closed out the fall season for the Jaguars as the team will now turn attention to the spring. Fox closed the fall as the team's top scoring average at 75.80 and Lancho was second at 75.87. Both had three top-10 finishes to their credit.
